The 2011 ‘L’Olivare’ is an outstanding showing, delivers aromas of dark cherries and blackberries along with leather, spice, hazelnut, tobacco and licorice all bursting from the glass. Well structured, with a lovely silky, polished texture and outstanding balance and depth. The finish is long with lots of traction, leaving behind notes of dark cherries and spices lingering on and on. An excellent effort that should continue to evolve over the course of the next decade.
