The 2010 'Vigna Le Macchiarelle' is a simply riveting Brunello, which comes form the estates oldest vineyard. This utterly captivating wine instantly opens wine attractive aromas of blackberries and dark plums along with toasted hazelnut, floral, licorice and hints of sweet spices. On the palate this is beautifully structured and balanced with wonderful underlying acidity and gorgeous round, silky tannins that expand onto the long, expressive finish. This is already open and very accessible, however it also shows the potential to age. The 2010 is certainly one most compelling wines I have tasted from the estate.
