The 2011 Argiano Brunello di Montalcino slowly begins to open with aromas of bing cherries and dark plums woven together with Indian spices, floral, licorice, leather and a subtle earthy character. The medium to full body is well structured as it heads into long finish, which leaves behind lingering notes of cherries and leather. Overall, this a beautifully made wine, however it will require another year or two in bottle to flesh out. (Best 2018-2027) - March, 2016 (JD)
