The 2013 Merryvale Cabernet Franc shows off both its feminine and masculine side in this warm vintage and is another strong new release wine from this estate. This wine is a blend of 90% Cabernet Franc with the rest Cabernet. This wine begins with aromatics of sage, red bell pepper and red cherry. There are flavors of dill, red bell pepper, anise and spicebox. Heavily tannic and needing time, I can see this drinking beautifully in a few years.
