This excellent Chardonnay was sourced from the White Salmon Vineyard in the Columbia Gorge and showcases more of a modern style. The Chardonnay saw 30% new oak and was aged for 16 months prior to bottling. The wine begins with aromas of brioche, mushroom and Gravenstein Apple. This leads to bright flavors of Granny Smith apple, nutmeg and roasted hazelnut with a long, richly textured finish. (Best 2016-2023) - July, 2016 (OB)
