The 2014 Groth 'Hillview Vineyard' Chardonnay shows its class. The Hillview Vineyard is located in the Oak Knoll District which was first planted in 1996. This Napa Valley Chardonnay opens with aromatics of Pink Lady apple, nectarine rind, brioche and nutmeg hints. There are bright flavors of Gravenstein apple, dried mango, butterscotch and hints of toasted hazelnuts. The finish lingers in this expressive and balanced Chardonnay.
