Year after year the 'Uriah' from Spring Valley impresses and the 2013 is no exception. This wine is a blend of 45% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Franc, 8% Petit Verdot and 8% Malbec with 5% Cabernet. The wine starts with aromatics of red bell pepper, blackberry preserves and red cherry. There are flavors of dill, wild blackberry, milk chocolate red cherry and mild tannins backing the wine. This has lovely minerality and is impossible to resist right now and I expect it to age gracefully into the next decade. (Best 2016-2028) - July, 2016 (OB)
