ROBERT BIALE Zinfandel 'Founding Farmers' 2014

The 'Founding Farmers' Zinfandel weighs in at 15.2% alcohol but comes across very structured. This balanced Zinfandel opens with aromas of prune, spicecake and blackberry jam. There are flavors of black cherry, coffee grounds, black plum and prune. This is impossible to resist right now and is exceedingly balanced considering the heat of the vintage. The structure of the wine borders Bordelaise, as this wine represents an exceedingly good value in California Zinfandel. (Best 2016-2023) - July, 2016 (OB)
