The 2013 Habemus is an absolutely incredible blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan. This is even more impressive than last years outstanding release, which earned a spot in our Top 100 wines. There are gorgeous aromas of black cherries, blackberries, spices, smoke, tobacco, lavender and crushed stones which all soar from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied and layered with remarkable concentration and depth. It is beautifully balanced with a velvety texture and a wonderful sense of freshness that lasts through the long, expansive finish, which is marked by dark fruits and lavender accents. Winemaker Emanuele Pangrazi has demonstrated a truly magnificent progression in his wines, with notable improvement over the past few vintages. He is clearly blazing a trail for the quality of wine in Lazio, and making some of the most compelling wines in all of Italy . (Best 2016-2029) - July, 2016 (JD)
