The 2012 Giachini Barolo is a drop-dead gorgeous showing in this vintage. This instantly opens with alluring aromas of ripe cherries and freshly sliced strawberries, followed by florals and sweet spices which all come together seamlessly in the glass. On the palate this well defined Barolo demonstrates a remarkable polished frame with outstanding overall depth, balance and finesse. This is already offering plenty of outstanding qualities and should continue to provide drinking pleasure as it evolves in bottle over the next decade and beyond. (Best 2017-2028) - July, 2016 (JD)
