WILLAKENZIE ESTATE Pinot Noir 'Terres Basses' 2014

The 2014 'Terres Basses' Pinot Noir by WillaKenzie Estates shows the earthy side, while showcasing the characteristics of this wonderfully warm vintage in Oregon. This has a wonderful complex profile with aromas and flavors of black cherries, wild blackberries and dark plum along side chocolate notes followed by earthy characteristics of black truffle and forest floor resonating through the wine. This is a bit of a slumbering giant at this point, having an extremely dense core that will need at least another year of bottle age to fully express itself. (Best 2017-2028) - November, 2016 (OB)
