The 2013 Lyndenhurst Vineyard is a fantastic blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with small percentages of Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Most of the fruit was sourced from the Spottswoode Estate Vineyard, while the remaining percentage was sourced from Darms Lane, Oakville Ranch, Knightsbridge, and Young Inglewood Vineyards. This spent 20 months in French Oak barrels and offers aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherries along with leather, spices, anise and spring floral. This full-bodied Cabernet shows remarkable overall depth with a gorgeous rich, polished texture. While this already displays early appeal, it would be best if allowed some additional bottle age to further develop. (Best 2018-2029) - November, 2016 (JD)
