Château Tourans is another relatively new acquisition from Peter Kwok, which came to a completion in 2015, after a two-year search. The 2014 from Château Toruans is an excellent showing, this dark and brooding wine opens with expressive aromas of dark cherries and blackberries woven together with vanilla, spices, pepper and hints of toast. It possesses a full body which is well balanced, backed by a lovely polished texture. This shows notable length on the finish where dark fruits, pepper and spices all continue to linger. While this should benefit from some additional cellaring, the modern, forward style certainly makes this approachable early on. (Best 2017-2023) - December, 2016 (JD)
