The 2014 'Les Quartz’' is composed of 85% Grenache and 15% Syrah from nearly 60 years in age, planted to Sandy soils, composed with round polished stones on the surface, located in 'Les Cassanets'. It possesses the same finesse and elegant characteristics as its 'Les Safres' counterpart, but with a bit more depth at its core. The aromas are gorgeous, with notes of cherries and raspberries woven together with spices, dried floral, white pepper, minerals and subtle hints of rosemary all coming together beautifully. It continues to impress with its silky texture all the way through the refined finish. This is simply delightful today, but should also continue to evolve gracefully.
