The 2014 Château Rousselle Côtes de Bourg is a blend of 75% merlot, 20% cabernet sauvignon, 3% Malbec and 2% Cabernet franc which offers aromas of blackberries and dark cherries followed by toast, spices and crushed stones. On the palate this is full-bodied which is nicely structured with core of dark fruits and minerals continue to leave an impression on the finish. While at the moment this is a bit more reserved when compared to the Cuvèe 'Prestige' I expect this to offer a slightly longer life span due to the addition of the Cabernet Sauvignon.
