The source of Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc is Marlborough’s Wairau River Valley, where stony, sandy loam topsoil covers deep layers of free-draining shingle. True to varietal character the nose is a mix of fresh green notes and tropical fruit. Reminiscent of fresh salad greens and cilantro dressed with candied citrus notes of grapefruit, lemon, and lime. Even greener on the palate with crisp green pepper and sweet cucumber, the base of sweet fruit remains and lingers on the finish with the flavors of ambrosia. (Best 2017-2020) - March, 2017 (JH)
