EVENING LAND Pinot Noir 'La Source' 2014

The 2014 Evening Land ‘La Source’ Pinot Noir comes from Dijon clones in the Seven Spring Vineyard that are set on a rocky slope reaching 700 feet in elevation. The ‘La Source’ section of the vineyard sees a strong wind influence from the Van Duzer Gap. As this gorgeous wine opens, it releases a beautifully complex aromatic profile of black cherries and red raspberries woven together with pomegranate seed, tangerine zest, white truffle and nutmeg all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this possesses an extremely appealing soft, silky texture, which is underlined by fantastic minerality at its core. It displays wonderful balance, with precise flavors of red fruits and citrus nuances lingering on the finish. Overall, this Pinot Noir is a complete success from the team at Evening Land and should age beautifully over the next decade. (Best 2017-2028) - March, 2017 (OB)
