The 2012 Giodo is a simply gorgeous showing from renowned tuscan enologist Carlo Ferrini. In this vintage Giodo is all about finesse and class, as it opens to aromas of plums and cherries, which are woven together with orange zest, dried florals and exotic spices all taking shape. On the palate this medium-bodied Brunello is beautifully balanced with remarkable overall focus and precision. It continues to impress with its sleek texture all they way through the finish as it lingers effortlessly. A fantastic showing in this vintage, and although this is extremely appealing now, there also looks to be a wonderful future ahead. (Best 2018-2029) - April, 2017 (JD)
