COBB Pinot Noir, Coastlands Vineyard '1906 Block Pommard' 2014

This Pinot Noir comes from the Coastlands vineyard, which is owned and farmed by the Cobb Family. In 1998 the Cobb family planted 2 clones, Pommard and Mt. Eden in this vineyard site, which is one of the coolest in all of California and experiences heavy marine influences from the Pacific. The result in an elegant Pinot Noir, which is bright and lively with beautiful aromas of sweet red cherry, savory herb, and rose pedal, with secondary aromas of crushed stone and smoke. It has a medium body and shows great balance and elegance at this stage. It will benefit from some bottle age and flourish over the next 10-12 years. (Best 2019-2029) - May, 2017 (JD)
