This Pinot Noir is from the Presqu'ile Vineyard, located between the Pacific Ocean and the San Rafael mountains. Made from Clones 115, 667, 777, and Mt Eden, with 15% whole cluster and spent 8 months in French oak barrels, 50% new. This opens with pretty aromas of strawberries, red berries, spice, and florals. It has a lovely soft texture, which is well balanced, with a core of red fruits and berries. The finish is long and underlined by bright acidity. While appealing now, this can benefit from another year or two of bottle age. (Best 2018-2027) - May, 2017 (JD)
