The 2014 Weir Vineyard Pinot Noir from Talisman is another impressive effort. It is exposed to high elevation, cool nights and the marine influences from its proximity to the Mendocino coast. The wine displays lovely aromas of wild strawberry, dried flower, spice box, with hints of juniper and cranberry. It possesses a medium to full body with red fruits and spices backed by underlying acidity keeping it fresh and inviting through the finish. This is drinking well today, but will be at its peak after a few more years of bottle age. (Best 2017-2027) - June, 2017 (MD)
