The 'Cuesta del Tejar' from Ruben Diaz is 100% Garnacha from the town of Cebreros, 950 meters high, in Castilla y León. It has a beautiful boquet with aromas of dark cherries, raspberries, dried spice, chocolate, citrus peel and violet which all take shape in the glass. On the palate this possesses remarkable structure with a beautiful core of vibrant red and black fruits framed by lovely acidity. The finish is long, with spicy notes lingering. This is showing extreamly well now and will continue develop with some bottle age. An incredible value. (Best 2017-2027) - July, 2017 (MD)
