The 2013 Crianza from Taramal is a modern and stylish Ribera del Duero, made from 100% Tempranillo, which comes from vineyards situated over 900 meters of altitude in the town of Pesquera de Duero. The wine was aged in a mix of French and American oak and the result is evident in the wine, as it opens to aromatics of black cherries, blackberries, toast, sandalwood, spices with hints of vanilla and leather, which all come together and soar from the glass. On the palate this possesses a full body, supported by a round, plush mouthfeel, which continues on through the supple finish. Many will enjoy the forward, stylistic approach to this Ribera del Duero. (Best 2017-2022) - July, 2017 (JD)
