Sourced from the Wagner's family vineyards in Rutherford and Oak Knoll, the 2015 Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc impresses as it begins with lovely aromatics of unripe pear, gooseberry and citrus blossoms. Lithe and light on its feet, this delivers ripe flavors of pear, Pink Lady apple, lemongrass and suggestions of baking spices. This shows excellent structure, given the warm growing conditions of the vintage. The Sauvignon Blanc was aged primarily in stainless steel, with a smaller portion in older French oak barrels.
