MASSICAN 'Annia' 2016

The 2016 Annia is a blend of 60% Ribolla Gialla, 31% Tocai Friulano and 9% Chardonnay. This is the second vintage where winemaker Dan Petroski has selected Ribolla Gialla as the primary varietal in this blend. As this begins to open it releases pretty aromatics of ripe pear, golden apple, almond, fresh peach and white flowers all taking shape beautifully in the glass. On the palate this displays lovely balance with a gorgeous texture, backed by a flavor profile of orchard fruit and citrus, which all lead into the elegant finish. Overall, the Annia is delicious now and should continue to drink well over the next handful of years. (Best 2017-2022) - July, 2017 (MD)
