The 2015 Douro Valley red from Quinta do Crasto is composed of 35% Touriga Nacional, 30% Tinta Roriz, 25% Touriga Franca and 10% Tinta Barroca. It opens to aromas of blackberries and cherries aling with violets, toast, spcies and hints of chocolate shavings. On the palate this medium-full bodied red is nicely balanced and focused with a polished frame and lovely underling minerality. Overall this is a wonderful showing and a remarkable value from the famed Douro Estate. (Best 2018-2026) - August, 2017 (JD)
