The 2015 Fiuza 'Ikon' Touriga Nacional wine was aged for 8 months in used oak prior to bottling. As this slowly unwinds in the glass the evolution in the glass becomes apparent as aromas of black olive, anise, spicebox and wet earth flavors gradually develop. The rich mouthfeel coats the palate with flavors of crème de cassis, blackberry cobbler and cherry syrup flavors which build on the finish. This could benefit from another year of bottle age to fully express itself. (Best 2018-2028) - August, 2017 (OB)
