LONG SHADOWS Red Wine 'Chester Kidder' 2014

The 2014 'Chester Kidder' Red Wine is another compelling wine from Long Shadows. This wine is a fantastic blend of 66% Cabernet with the remainder Petit Verdot and Syrah and saw 30 months of French oak treatment (85% new) prior to bottling. This outstanding wine begins with bold aromas of dark fruits, red bell pepper, dill, sagebrush and milk chocolate. The mouthfeel, fruit weight and texture is gorgeous. Moderate tannins connect with milk chocolate, green bell pepper, black olive and black cherry compote flavors that sit over some light tannins. This is a layered, polished and downright voluptuous effort that will best enjoyed in the next decade. (Best 2017-2030) - August, 2017 (OB)
