The 2015 Kiedrich Klosterberg Riesling Trocken comes from 30 to 40-year-old vines planted to a steep 4-acre vineyard set on loamy soils in the Rheingau. The result is a brilliant wine which begins with vibrant aromatics reminiscent of crisp apples, petrol, wet stones and hints of unripe pear. Precise and defined, this leads to gorgeous flavors of white peach, key lime, Granny Smith apple and candied mango with underlying petrol. The minerality remains intense through the finish.
