BERINGER VINEYARDS Chardonnay 'Private Reserve' 2015

The 2015 'Private Reserve' Chardonnay is a stunning wine is made by Mark Beringer, the wine was aged in 9 months in 66% new French oak prior to bottling and begins with aromatics of crème brûlée, roasted pineapple, and an exotic edge with rich spices. The palate is plush, as the wine displays an unctuous character of vanilla crème and baking spices underlined by lemon zest. The weight and texture is lovely as it is cut through by a streak of acidity. Delicious now and I expect it will continue to age gracefully. (Best 2017-2027) - September, 2017 (OB)
