The 2014 'Uncovered' Chardonnay is a cuvée of all the high elevation vineyards. The wine was partially fermented in concrete eggs and French oak prior to bottling. This begins with aromatics of ripe banana, white peach and crème brûlée aromatics. The weight is lovely as the wine showcases vanilla, nectarine and poached pear flavors as the palate is lifted by the underlying acidity. Overall this is a fantastic Chardonnay which displays excellent structure and balance considering the warm conditions of the vintage. (Best 2017-2023) - October, 2017 (OB)
