DOMAINE SERENE Pinot Noir, Mark Bradford Vineyard 2014

The Mark Bradford Vineyard is a high elevation site located on the west facing slope of the Evenstad Estate. This utterly fascinating wine was aged for 16 months in 69% new French oak prior to bottling and opens with aromas of black tea, forest floor, black truffle and suggestions of black cherry compote. Rich and layered, this shows wonderful tension and mouthfeel on the palate. Ripe and polished, the black fruit flavors connect with forest floor, white truffle and wet earth elements and linger effortlessly on the finish. Overall, this is a simply gorgeous wine which will continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade and even beyond. (Best 2017-2033) - October, 2017 (OB)
