The 2013 San Silvestro Barolo is a lovely showing in this vintage. This opens to inviting aromas of fresh strawberries, red berries, eucalyptus, spices, floral and wet stones all taking shape. On the palate this is medium-bodied with fine tannins, which are nicely polished with lovely underlying acidity keeping this fresh, and juicy through the long finish. While this is appealing now, it should become even more attractive as it gains complexity over the next few years. (Best 2018-2026) - October, 2017 (JD)
