The 2014 El Jefe Tempranillo was sourced from the Stoneridge Vineyard, which is situated above the flood plain of the Columbia River. This Tempranillo begins with a bouquet of dark fruits along with smoked meats, scorched earth, black tea and black olive with roasted fig accents. The weight is lovely, as is the texture to this ripe wine which yeilds flavors of black tea, black olive tapenade, black cherry and suggestions of orange rind flavors that build to a slightly tannic finish.
