The 2014 Château Pichon Baron is absolutly stunning and a highlight in this vintage. Composed of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot this slowly opens to gorgeous aromatics of blackberries cherries, floral, tobacco, roasted coffee, toast, graphite and subtle hints of mint all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied and beautifully structured with outstanding balance and finesse leading into the long finish. Overall, this is an incredibly well made wine, and will continue to evolve gracefully in the cellar for many years to come. (Best 2020-2035) - October, 2017 (JD)
