The Chapel Block is located in the far western edge of the Red Willow Vineyard, first planted in 1973. This dark colored Syrah begins with aromas of black olive, black tea, wild blackberry jam and hints of sagebrush. The plush texture entices as flavors of black tea, blackberry jam, black olive and black cherry syrup expand through the palate. It continues to impress its depth and richness, which is underlined by lovely acidity. This outstanding Syrah will cellar well over the next decade. (Best 2017-2027) - October, 2017 (OB)
