The 2014 Chateau Baudan opens with deep aromas of cigar box, crème de cassis and blackberry cobbler with smoke. This has a marvelous freshness and salinity as well as notable depth, delivering dark fruits with milk chocolate and a touch of graphite. This excellent Bordeaux will be at its best with short-term cellaring, but is nearly impossible to resist right now. (Best 2017-2027) - December, 2017 (OB)
