The 2015 'Chante Le Merle' is a wonderful blend of Grenache with Mourvèdre and Syrah. As this slowly unwinds it releases aromatics of raspberries and cherries along with dried florals, white pepper, iron, wild herbs and lavender all taking shape. On the palate this is elegant and refined with wonderful restraint. There is a lovely inner-sweetness at its core as this continues to impress with lovely balance and focus through the fine, silky finish. Overall, this is a simply gorgeous wine with a remarkable future ahead, however it will demand time in the cellar before it hits its stride.
