The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino, Riserva 'AdAlberto' is a lovely showing sourced from the Madre vineyard planted 1965. It begins with inviting aromas of wild berries and red plums, which are joined with exotic spices, fresh porcini, and leather nuances that fill the glass. This medium to full-bodied Brunello displays a gorgeous velvety texture, as well as excellent concentration and depth. It continues to impress as it fills the palate with loads of dark cherries, dried plum, spices, licorice and leathery notes which persist through the polished finish.
