The 2014 Valpolicella Superiore ‘l’Imperfetto’ begins with aromas of cherries and cassis which are woven together with spices, licorice and straw nuances. Full-bodied and richly textured backed by nicely polished, velvety tannins. It remains beautifully balanced with loads of dark ripe fruit which is kept fresh and inviting by the lovely underlying acidity. Delicious now and should continue to drink well as it evolves over the next decade.
