The 2013 La Poderina Brunello di Montalcino begins with aromas of cherries and raspberries which are woven together with leather, floral, spices and smoky nuances. On the palate this is medium-bodied and refined, with excellent overall structure and balance as the lovely acidity beautifully frames the long finish. This will likely need at another year or two in bottle before it hits its stride, nonetheless should continue to evolve beautifully over the course of the next decade.
