The 2015 Summum Chardonnay is sourced from 14 rows of vines located in the heart of the Seven Springs Vineyard, Displaying a deeper hue than the La Source bottling, Summum starts off with wonderful range on the nose with poached pear, buttered cashew nut, vanilla crème brûlée and a touch of white truffle oil. The oily texture entices as this shows tremendous poise and weight. Beautifully focused flavors of Gala apple, brioche, kumquat and Meyer lemon cream work their way up to the long finish. A complete wine, this is a stunning effort from Evening Land that is showing well now, yet should contine to age gracefully over the course of the decade and even beyond.
