The 2013 Voliero Brunello di Montalcino is a gorgeous showing. This instantly impresses as it bursts open with fresh aromas of ripe strawberries and cherries followed spices, dried herbs, licorice and floral. Medium-bodied with remarkable overall balance and focus as red fruits and spices are framed by lovely acidity keeping it fresh and inviting through the long finish. A fabulous Brunello from Andrea Cortenesi which should evolve gracefully for year to come.
