The 2012 Howell Mountain Cabernet is another sensational wine from the Dunn’s. It begins with beautifully pure fruit, blackberries and dark cherries which are woven together pretty florals, tobacco, graphite which all take shape in the glass. On the palate this impresses with its remarkable overall structure, balance and precision, combined with a core of gorgeous ripe fruit leading up to the ultra-long finish. A classy and impeccably made Cabernet which is certainly attractive now, but also shows all the characteristics needed to last decades.
