TALISMAN Pinot Noir, Adastra Vineyard 'Méthode Ancienne' 2014

The Adastra Vineyard Pinot Noir 'Méthode Ancienne' is made using old world style wine making techniques. Aged 21 months in 50% new French Oak from vines planted in 1994. The bouquet is pretty with aromas of strawberry, red, berry, wild cherry, dark soil, fresh mineral with hints of pepper, orange peel and violet. This has a beautiful and elegant texture with mouth coating red fruits, earth and bitter chocolate on the finish. This is showing really well today and will continue to age over the next decade and even beyond.
