The 2013 Malbec Riserva is aged for 12 months in 80% American Oak and 20% French Oak barrels. The wine was bottled with a soft filtration and aged 4 months in bottles before release. This deep hued effort opens with aromas of blueberry cobbler, boysenberry and mocha. This leads to flavors reminiscent of anise, blackberry, blueberry and mocha. This fruit driven wine has a nice viscosity on the mouthfeel and a strong acid backbone. The finish lingers in this refined effort that delivers for the price. (Best 2015-2025) - November, 2015 (OB)
