The Château Mancèdre Pessac-Léognan is an impressive showing in 2012. Composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, this delivers attractive aromas of ripe dark fruits, dried tobacco, mint and crushed stones. This shows notable structure and balance, with a gorgeous mouthfeel which takes you into the long, lingering finish. Although this already shows plenty of appeal, consider allowing it another few years of bottle age. There are three plots at Château Mancèdre, one touching Domaine de Chevalier, and the other two touching Château Fieuzal and Château Malartic-Lagravière. (Best 2016-2025) - May, 2015 (JD)
