This comes from the Tournant de Pouilly vineyard, which is just one hectare in size and lies on an east-facing slope, bordering on the hamlet of Pouilly. The vines average 50-years in age and are planted along a narrow band of pearly slabs of fossilized oyster shells that twist their way between Fuissé and Pouilly. The 2012 is a brilliant effort from winemaker Audrey Braccini, instantly opening with gorgeous aromas of citrus fruits, honeysuckle, saline, crushed almond and flinty minerals which soar from the glass. It displays a gorgeous oily texture and wonderful acidity on the palate with outstanding balance and precision through the mineral-laced finish. This is already showing excellent and should continue to do so over the next decade. (Best 2015-2025) - July, 2015 (JD)
