CHÂTEAU LAMARTRE Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2010

Château Lamartre is situated in Saint-Etienne de Lisse, on the East side of Saint-Emilion, nearby Château de Pressac. The 2010 is an excellent showing, composed of 59% Merlot and 41% Cabernet Franc from vines averaging 50 years old and some lots over 70 years old. As it begins to open in the glass it delivers aromas of blackberries, dark cherries, dried tobacco, spices, earthy minerals and hints of fresh cut floral. It continues to impress with this firm structure, balance and length. (Best 2016-2021) - May, 2015 (JD)
