The 2014 Les Parcelles de Stephane Derenoncourt Saint-Émilion Grand Cru instantly opens to inviting aromas of blackberries and dark cherries woven together with spices and cherry pipe tobacco along with underlying hints of sweet toasted hazelnut. This medium-full body red is polished with a plush mouthfeel which expands beautifully across the palate as it bursts onto the long finish. This is already showing quite well and should also become even more appealing with another year or two of bottle age. (Best 2017-2024) - August, 2017 (JD)
